Nathan Berry
I was born into a pastor's family and grew up a PK (preacher's kid) for the first 14 years of my life. My dream as a kid was to grow up to be like my dad and one day go into ministry to be a pastor. At the age of five I was "preaching" a fake sermon over the song "Lord I Lift Your Name on High" and my dad called me into their bedroom and ask me if I truly believed what that song said about Jesus and the Gospel. I said "yes" and at that moment I realized that I needed King Jesus to save me from my sins and start a one-on-one relationship with God. I 100% believed at that point that I was going to be a pastor one day. Fast-forward 13 years later and my plans completely changed. In the Fall of 2012 I started at Hardin-Simmons university as an athletic training major.
By October of that year God opened my eyes to see that He was still calling me into ministry, so I went one afternoon and changed my major to ministry. I graduated in May 2016 with a BBS in Ministry and a minor in Political Science.
For the last decade I have had the privilege to serve God and the local church in a few different places. I have served as a student intern at Broadview Baptist Church in Abilene, Youth Minister at Tye Baptist Church, Youth Minister at FBC Gholson, and Youth/Children's Pastor at FBC Munday. In October 2021 God called me to become the Associate and Student Pastor of this amazing church family.
In August 2014 I married my incredible high school sweetheart and ministry partner Robin. September 26, 2022 we welcomed our first child Berkley into this world. FBC Alta Loma we love you and love getting to serve along side you each and every day.
